Hello Greenville! My work here as an affordable housing reporter has been both educational and rewarding. I have learned so much in the short time that I've been here.

My mission as an affordable housing reporter in Upstate SC is to ensure that readers are informed and up to date on matters pertaining to housing affordability including new developments, areas that have been gentrified, the cost of rent and home ownership.

I'm passionate about the community I now call home. I want to learn and write more about issues plaguing the Black community, along with Black history and culture, education and diversity.

Working on broad and complex topics can leave readers with questions that can go unanswered. It is also my mission to ensure that readers have the opportunity to have their own questions answered.

Royale Bonds joins Greenville News Covering affordable housing and gentrification

That's why I am excited to announce my "Ask Royale" column. We want to give readers the opportunity to have their questions about Greenville County answered. Got a question about our community not related to affordable housing or new development? I can answer those, too, so send them my way!

Look for my regular column answering your questions about Greenville County and the Upstate. I look forward to learning together!
