Want a new pet? This dog and cat are available for adoption at PAWS | Pets of the Week
As part of the BISSELL "Empty the Shelters" initiative, the Panhandle Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is offering $25 pet adoptions through May 15. This includes spay and neutering surgery, vaccinations, preventative medications and intestinal parasite treatment.
Scooter, pit bull terrier mix
Scooter is described as an active, fun-loving dog who loves playing fetch. The 2-year-old male pit bull terrier mix has lived at the PAWS shelter since March 7.
Scooter understands the "sit" command and interacts well with other dogs.

Eddie, grey tabby cat
Eddie is a 1-year-old tabby cat who has lived at the shelter since March 17. Shelter staff describe Eddie as a social, sweet cat who loves humans, brightly colored toys and other cats.
