Want to see 'Rocky Horror' in Athens with an original cast member? Tickets on sale Friday.
For generations, attending a screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" has been a cultural rite of passage across the world, and folks in Athens will soon get the opportunity to see it with one of the original cast members in attendance.
Tickets for the Oct. 12th event at The Classic Center will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
Billed as the "48th Annual Spectacular Tour," the program will be hosted by Patricia Quinn, who played the character Magenta in the 1975 cult classic. As the movie plays on the big screen, a "shadow cast" will act out all of the roles in real time while encouraging the audience participation that "Rocky" is known for.

In addition to the live performance, the program will feature a costume contest and a memorabilia display with artifacts and costumes from the movie. Those who purchase VIP tickets will have the opportunity to meet Quinn, take a photo with her, and bring personal items for Quinn to autograph.
Though "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" first gained fame as a "midnight movie" and is still shown in theaters worldwide at the witching hour, the Classic Center's event is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Parents should note that the film is rated R and contains adult language and sexual themes.
