Wanted in Berks: March 5, 2023

Mar. 5—Jose Aponte, 27, whose last known address was in York, is wanted on access device fraud, theft by deception charges.

Police said between the dates of Oct. 30 and Nov. 23, Aponte was an employee of the Sheetz store in Muhlenberg Township. Aponte was caught on surveillance scanning gift cards for himself without paying for them. Aponte did this 11 times, stealing a total of $2,394.

He is described as 5 feet 6 inches and 150 pounds.

Kevin Rodriguez, 27, whose last known address was in the 600 block of Eisenbrown Street, Reading, is wanted on terroristic threats, simple assault charges.

Police said that on Nov. 23, Rodriguez got into an argument with the female victim about not cutting his food properly during dinner. Rodriguez got a gallon of juice from the refrigerator and threw it at the victim. When she attempted to leave Rodriguez began to kick her all over her body while she was on the floor. Rodriguez threatened to kill her during the altercation.

He is described as 6 feet and 200 pounds.
