Wanted Georgia man arrested in Okaloosa County

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WKRG) — The Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office arrested a wanted Georgia man on Thursday night.

Charles Franklin Cook, 41, of Marietta, Georgia, had an active arrest warrant from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office for domestic violence-related homicide and aggravated assault (intent to murder).

The Cobb County Sheriff’s Office notified the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office that Cook may have been in Crestview.

The OCSO Special Investigations Section located Cook and his vehicle in the parking lot of a Publix in Crestview.

He was taken into custody for the warrants and is currently in the Okaloosa County Jail awaiting extradition to Georgia.

He has no bond at this time.
