President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine must return all of its occupied territories, and only then will it be possible to talk about the end of the war.

Quote: "If do not make it clear enough that we will have returned our territories, and the war will be over and there will be peace, and something will always be under a question mark; some part will not be liberated, and the other parts will be in some sort of compromise – then, believe me, Russia will still return to the occupation of our land".
Details: Unfortunately, Ukraine cannot bring back its dead citizens, but we can restore justice, which begins with the return of our territories, the President said.
On 16 September, Russian President Vladimir Putin claimed that he "would do everything" to end the war as soon as possible, but he was indignant that Ukraine wanted to win militarily.
Mykhailo Podoliak, adviser to the Head of the President’s Office, is convinced that at the moment there is no point either in negotiations or in the meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it is not yet possible to talk about a quick end of the war in Ukraine, despite the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine [in Kharkiv and Kherson oblasts].
