Dresses are my second skin—I wear one practically every other day—yes, even while working from home (a stretchy tank dress has been my go-to). If you were to take a peek inside my closet, you’ll see it’s comprised of about 75% dresses—arranged by color and print (I’m a tad over-eager when it comes to organizing my frocks) so you can understand that it’s a topic I love to write about often and passionately.

Dresses are the one item in my wardrobe I choose to invest in, as they're a ready-made outfit that'll work for any occasion. So today I wanted to share 11 of the best dress styles that I believe deserve a place in everyone's closet. From versatile black and white hues to beach-ready beauties and pretty prints, if you love dresses as much as I do and are looking to update your collection then take a peek below for the essential frocks that will never let you down.
