Warehouses proposed at former Silver City Galleria

Plans are moving forward for the former site of the Silver City Galleria mall.

According to Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman Dennis Ackerman, Atlanta-based Portman Industrial plans to construct four warehouses at the former Silver City Galleria Mall.

Taunton's new fire chief takes the reins

Taunton’s new Fire Chief, Steven Lavigne said he’s “having a ball” as he continues “seeing the other side of the Fire Department.”

Lavigne, 56, has been a member of the Taunton Fire Department for 34 years. He took over as chief on Aug. 13, when former Fire Chief Timothy Bradshaw retired after serving 13 years as chief, and 28 years total with the Taunton Fire Department.
