We are about to feel a dramatic change in temperatures. Action News Jax Chief Meteorologist Mike Buresh says temperatures will climb to the low 80s with some sunshine before clouds move in.

This will be the 14th day at or above 80 degrees this year, well above our average. A cold front arrives from the west by mid to late afternoon with scattered showers. Buresh says rainfall amounts won’t be significant.

Showers will end early tonight followed by clearing skies and tumbling temperatures into the low 40s with wind chills in the 30s by sunrise. That’s 30+ degrees chillier than Friday morning.

Saturday will be dry and mostly sunny but breezy and cool with temperatures only in the low 60s. By Sunday our next warming trend starts on Sunday. Temperatures will be in the low 70s with a mix of sun and clouds.

Monday/President’s Day is looking warmer with partly sunny skies and temperatures near 80 degrees. We’re in to the low 80s by Tuesday and the pattern stays warm overall.
