Warming centers available in Gwinnett, DeKalb as temps dip overnight
With temperatures expected in the mid-30′s overnight, warming centers will be available throughout Gwinnett and DeKalb counties.
People who visit the Gwinnett County sites will be able to warm up, enjoy a free meal and rest for the night.

The Gwinnett County sites will be open from 6 p.m. until 7 a.m.
Warming centers are located in Buford, Snellville, Duluth, Lawrenceville, and Norcross.

Channel 2 Action News Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says we can expect temperatures in the mid-to-low 30s overnight across North Georgia and in Gwinnett County temperatures will be near freezing.
In DeKalb County, four warming centers will be available beginning at 8 p.m.

Anyone staying in the DeKalb County warming centers must follow the county’s COVID-19 protocols. The protocols include wearing a mask, social distancing, and undergoing a temperature check.
