Egan Warming Centers open Wednesday, Thursday night in Eugene, Springfield

With temperatures dropping, facilities across Lane County will be available as warming centers for anyone needing a warm place to go.

Egan Warming Centers have been activated for the nights of Wednesday, Dec. 21 and Thursday, Dec. 22. Shuttles are available behind First Christian Church, 1166 Oak St., from 6:30 p.m. to midnight and starting again at 6:30 a.m. to take people back downtown or to St. Vincent de Paul's Eugene Service Station.

  • Wheeler Pavilion, Lane Events Center: 796 W. 13th Ave., Eugene; site is accessible and animals are welcome; doors open at 10 p.m.

  • All Night Warming at First Christian Church: 1166 Oak St., Eugene; site is accessible and animals are welcome; doors open at 11 p.m.

  • Springfield Memorial Building: 765 A St., Springfield; site is accessible and animals are welcome; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

  • Youth Site, First United Methodist Church: 1376 Olive, Eugene; site is accesible and animals are welcome; doors open at 6 p.m.

  • Transportation Hub at First Christian Church: 1166 Oak St., Eugene; site is accessible and animals are welcome.

Downtown Library, 100 W. 10th Ave. Open Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday through Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bethel Branch, 1990 Echo Hollow Road. Open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m.

St. Vincent de Paul Service Station, 456 Highway 99. Open daily 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

St Vincent de Paul’s 1st Place Family Center, 1995 Amazon Parkway. Open daily 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Looking Glass New Roads Center (Youth and young adults to age 24), 941 W. 7th Ave. Open daily 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Eugene Mission, 1542 W 1st Ave. Activates at 30 degrees and below. Ideal entry time between 4 and 5 p.m., but people will not be turned away if there is space that night.

Springfield

Springfield Public Library (inside City Hall), 225 5th St. Open noon to 7 p.m. Monday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Willamalane Adult Activity Center, 215 W. C St. Open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Bob Keefer Center, 250 S 32nd St. Open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Catholic Community Services OASIS (Drop-In Day Center), 1175 G St. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Wednesday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Clients must enroll in OASIS first, 541-345-3628 ext. 390 or OASIS@ccslc.org (No pets allowed).

Cottage Grove

Cottage Grove Community Center, 700 E Gibbs Ave. Open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Cottage Grove Beds For Freezing Nights, Locations subject to change but posted on its website. Open for registration starting at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., morning check out is 7:30 a.m.

Florence

Florence Cold Weather Shelter, 2135 19th St. Shuttle busses run from 5 to 6 p.m. with pick up sites at Siuslaw Library, Safeway and Linda’s Laundry Mat. Motels are available on activation nights for families with minors and individuals with mobility issues. 541-997-4444 (SOS after hours), 541-997-6600 (Shelter).

Helping Hands (Soup Kitchen), 2135 19th St. Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Siuslaw Public Library, 1460 9th St. Open Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Oakridge

Oakridge Warming Shelter/ Greenwaters Park Community Center, 48362 OR-58, Activates at 32 degrees and below. Open overnight from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m.

Veneta

Veneta Warming Shelter/Fernridge Community Services, 25133 East Broadway Ave. Activates at 29 degrees and below.
