Warrants issued for former Kroger employee accused of threatening co-workers

A former Kroger employee is facing charges in Columbia County after allegedly threatening to slap and shoot other employees.

Columbia County deputies responded to the Kroger on Columbia Road in Martinez and met with five employees who said an ex-employee went into the store Wednesday and threatened them.

The employees told deputies the ex-employee started yelling at them, saying she was going to "slap these old [explicit]" and threatened to shoot them while patting her purse, according to the incident report.

Employees said the woman carries a pistol in her purse and they were "very scared," according to the report.

Deputies obtained surveillance video of the incident and two warrants were filed for simple assault, according to the report. A criminal trespass warning will also be issued.
