Warren Primary Election Results For 2020

WARREN, NJ — Voting for the uncontested Democratic and Republican primary in Warren has ended.

Incumbents Michael "Mick" C. Marion and George Lazo are the two Republican candidates and Rick Finkel and Ilana Goldstein-Barsky are the Democratic candidates.

The two pairs will face off against each other in the general elections on Nov. 3 for the two Township Committee seats for 2020.

Although the polls closed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, the final vote tallies are not expected for days due to the new voting process in light of the coronavirus.

Unofficial results below according to the Somerset County Election Board (as of 10 p.m.):

Township Committee

  • Republican Michael "Mick" C. Marion: 523

  • Republican George Lazo: 524

  • Democrat Rick Finkel: 516

  • Democrat Ilana Goldstein-Barsky: 518

Rick Finkel, 59, is one of two Democratic candidates running. Finkel, who is currently retired is married to his wife, Maureen and has a 30-year-old daughter, Madeline. Marion has 25 years of corporate business experience at Michael E. Marion & Associates Inc., a global management consulting firm with proven success as a Senior Executive and Owner. He also has 18 years of entrepreneurial real estate consulting and property management ownership.

Lazo has worked for the past 34 years as Senior Executive for Marriott International as a leading service provider. Lazo has experience at Marriott in Leadership roles in both Operations and Sales has led to a significant focus on service and delivery to our residents, businesses, and Township Staff.
