ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. – A 24-year-old Warrenton, Missouri, man is facing charges after soliciting sex from an undercover police officer posing as a child.

According to court documents, the crime occurred on January 25.

St. Charles County police and prosecutors claim Owen Friedeck was on the Telegram app chatting with someone he thought was a 14-year-old girl but was really an undercover officer.

Breaking News

During the conversation, Friedeck spoke of meeting the girl for sex and later drove to a predetermined location to meet with her. Friedeck was arrested when he arrived at the location.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Friedeck with enticement or attempted enticement of a child and second-degree attempted statutory rape. Friedeck remains jailed on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
