After missing all four games of the Golden State Warriors’ recent road swing, Draymond Green is slated to miss more time due to a calf injury.

On Sunday, the Warriors announced Green would miss at least the next two weeks of games before being re-evaluated for his injury. According to the Warriors, Green’s calf tightness/soreness is connected to a disc in his lower back. The Warriors performed different evaluations on Green’s injury, including meeting with specialists and an MRI.

After making an appearance in the starting lineup for Klay Thompson’s long-awaited return to the court, Green quickly checked out of the game after tipoff against the Cleveland Cavaliers due to calf soreness.

Green has now missed four consecutive games with the injury. After dropping the final game of their road swing on Sunday to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Warriors will return to the Bay Area for a seven-game homestand. The Warriors will be without Green for games against the Brooklyn Nets, Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz during that span.

During the 2021-22 season, Golden State’s defensive captain is posting a potential All-Star campaign, averaging 7.9 points on 53.7% shooting from the field with 7.6 rebounds, 7.4 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocks in 29.9 minutes per game.

Without Green, the Warriors could lean on veteran Otto Porter Jr. and rookie Jonathan Kuminga in the frontcourt. Kuminga has scored in double-figures in three straight games, including a 25 point performance in a victory over the Chicago Bulls on Friday.
