Washington listed as 1-point favorite vs. Dallas Cowboys in Week 7

Did you ever think a couple of months ago that we might see the Washington Football Team listed as a favorite over the Dallas Cowboys this season? Life comes at you fast, huh?

Believe it or not, our friends at BetMGM have Washington listed as a one-point favorite this weekend at home over the Cowboys, marking the first time all season that the Burgundy & Gold have been favored entering a game. Their only win this season came in Week 1 against the Eagles, where they were projected to lose by a touchdown in most places.

Much, if not all of the reasoning here has to do with the quarterback situation in Dallas. With Dak Prescott out for the season, Andy Dalton has been called up on to drive this high-powered offense, and he struggled mightily on Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals. There is a chance that the Red Rifle may have just needed a week to get settled in the QB1 spot in Dallas, but judging by what we’ve seen from him so far this year, there shouldn’t be much hope for a playoff birth in Jerry’s World.

We will continue to watch how the line moves throughout the rest of this week as bettors place down their money, but it could be a rare week where Washington fans hold the bragging rights headed into this heated rivalry.
