Washington on lockdown, 13 states deploy National Guard ahead of inauguration

With three days until President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration, officials in Washington, D.C., are on high alert. At least 13 states have deployed their National Guards as security concerns mount at less-fortified state capitols. Meanwhile, police arrested Wesley Allen Beeler at a checkpoint near the Capitol reportedly with an unauthorized inauguration pass, a gun and more than 500 rounds of ammunition, police said.
