Autopsy inconclusive for Washington man found dead at Summer Camp festival in Chillicothe

CHILLICOTHE — Preliminary autopsy results did not give a reason why a Washington man was found dead this past weekend at the annual Summer Camp Music Festival.

Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood said the results were inconclusive and require the full toxicology results to make a determination. Those could take four to six weeks, he said.

A medical incident has not been ruled out, but "we cannot make a conclusive declaration in the absence of the toxicology report," Harwood said.

Chase S. Edwards, 44, was pronounced dead at 10:03 a.m. Sunday. There was no sign of trauma, and no foul play was suspected.

At 9:45 a.m. Sunday, first responders at Three Sisters Park, where the festival was being held, were told of a man who was found between two cars in the parking area. He was "obviously deceased," Harwood said.

No further information has been released.
