It was a historic NFL Draft day for players from the national champion Georgia Bulldogs defense, and the Jacksonville Jaguars got the party started by selecting defensive end Travon Walker with the No. 1 overall pick Thursday night.

The Jags also made a draft-night trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to get on the clock again in the first round. With the 27th pick, Jacksonville drafted linebacker Devin Lloyd from Utah, who was named the Pac-12's Defensive Player of the Year last season in a conference that also featured fellow first-round pick Kayvon Thibodeaux.

In order to move up, the Jaguars, who had 12 picks going into this year's draft, gave up their No. 33rd pick in the second round, 106th pick in the fourth round and 180th pick in the sixth round to Tampa Bay. But they'll still have plenty of opportunities in the second and third rounds to build up their roster with new talent.
