How to watch 49ers vs. Cardinals in Mexico City originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

The San Francisco 49ers are grabbing their passports and heading south for Monday Night Football.

For the NFL’s fifth and final international game of 2022, the 49ers will take on the Arizona Cardinals in Mexico City. The matchup marks the league’s fifth regular season contest and a rematch of its first ever Mexico game from 2005.

Kyle Shanahan’s squad is back in the primetime spotlight after beating the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday Night Football. Christian McCaffrey, Elijah Mitchell and Brandon Aiyuk all chipped in on offense, while the 49ers’ defense kept Justin Herbert under wraps in the 22-16 victory.

On the other side, the Cardinals got back in the win column on Sunday. Backup quarterback Colt McCoy filled in for an injured Kyler Murray and got the job done against the Los Angeles Rams, who also resorted to their backup QB in the contest.

The 49ers have a chance to move into a tie with the Seattle Seahawks atop the NFC West standings this week. The Cardinals, meanwhile, are two games back in the division and have a chance to move closer to a wild card spot if they upset their rivals on Monday Night Football.
