WATCH: The best of Robert Williams’ 2020-21 season with the Celtics

Though the Boston Celtics had an overall disappointing 2020-21 season, which ended in a 4-1 first round series loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the Celtics had some promising performances by from their young core. including center Robert Williams.

Time Lord had his most productive season yet, averaging 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.8 blocks in 52 games. Playing just under 19 minutes per game, Williams found himself battling injuries and minutes restrictions throughout the season.

Williams notched career-high’s in just about every major category this season, scoring 20 points and dishing out 8 assists on April 2 against the Houston Rockets, grabbing 15 rebounds on January 4 against the Toronto Raptors, and tying his career-high of 6 blocks on March 11 against the Brooklyn Nets.

With a new regime coming in the front office and coaching staff, having a healthy Williams would be a huge plus next year for the Celts. The presence he brings on the glass and defensive end plus his growing confidence on offense and sneaky-good passing can help Boston get back to where they belong.
