Watch the New ‘My Brilliant Friend’ Trailer from HBO

There’s a new way to learn Italian and it has nothing to do with Rosetta Stone.

HBO’s new My Brilliant Friend trailer is here, and like the upcoming show, it’s entirely in Italian.

My Brilliant Friend is based off the best-selling Neapolitan Quartet novel by Elena Ferrante, who also penned the adaptation.

The series explores the long (and complicated) friendship between characters Elena and Lila in 1950s Naples. When Lila goes missing, Elena sets to work writing the story of her 60-year friendship/rivalry with Lila in an effort to uncover the mysterious circumstances that lead to her disappearance.

My Brilliant Friend, directed by Saverio Costanzo (Hungry Heart), premieres on Sunday, November 18, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO. Episode two of the series debuts the following day, Monday, November 19, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Subsequent episodes will premiere on Sundays and Mondays at the same time.

Fingers crossed we’ll be fluent by the end of the series.
