WATCH: Cameron Latu breaks tackles, hits nasty stiff arm en route to endzone

The 2021 Alabama offense entered this season-opening contest against the Miami Hurricanes with plenty of question marks. The team lost plenty of high-level talent to the NFL draft, which meant there would be a few new faces.

While quarterback Bryce Young may be taking over the headlines, tight end Cameron Late is sneaking in as a breakout star that not many expected to see.

Latu, a redshirt junior, was supposed to be TE2 behind Jahleel Billingsley. However, Billingsley is sidelined for off-the-field reasons.

Though he may not be on top of the depth chart, Latu is making a strong case to be the starting tight end by Week 2, as he’s already scored two touchdowns for the Crimson Tide.

The most recent one was a 25-yard catch-and-run that showcased Latu’s ability to break tackles and hit a stiff arm.
