WATCH: Car bursts into flames on I-75 in Riverview

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A car has burst into flames on northbound I-75 just before near exit 250.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the cause of the fire was a mechanical issue.

Fire rescue eventually extinguished the flames. Only one lane heading northbound is open.

There were no reported injuries, according to FHP.

No further details have been released.
