Watch, chains valued at $152,000 stolen by moped riders in Queens: NYPD

QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man was robbed of jewelry worth over $150,000 by two moped riders in Queens on March 24, according to the NYPD.

The robbery happened around 4 p.m. near 68th Avenue and 108 Street. The two suspects on mopeds approached a 35-year-old man, hit him in the face then stole his bag, sources told PIX11 News.

The bag contained chains worth $150,000 and a watch valued at $2,500, according to authorities.

The suspects fled on their mopeds. The victim was treated for minor injuries to his hand and face, police said.
