WATCH: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce orchestrated entire 13-second game-tying drive

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce was mic’d up during Sunday’s divisional-round win over the Buffalo Bills.

We already know that Kelce called his own shot on the 25-yard reception that put the Chiefs into field goal range, but now we know some more details about what happened in those final 13 seconds. Kelce actually orchestrated the 19-yard reception by Tyreek Hill the play prior too.

“10, 10,” Kelce shouted on the sideline. “They might man you up. I’m saying go outside and come back in like you’re running a route outside, that way when you come back in, I can get in the way.”

Sure enough, Kelce was the lead blocker for Hill on the play and kept Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds away long enough for a big gain by Hill.

Then, we actually get to hear what Kelce said to Mahomes that enabled the audible that got Kelce open and Kansas City into field goal range.

“Hey, hey,” Kelce said to Mahomes. “If they play it like that, that seam is open.”

We all know what happens after that.

“Do it Kels,” Mahomes signals. “Do it, do it Kels.”

After Kelce makes the catch, he can be heard hyping himself up too.

“C’mon, c’mon,” he says.

To think he also went on to catch the game-winning touchdown in overtime as well. What a legendary moment captured from a player who will go down as one of the best to ever suit up in the NFL.
