UFC star Conor McGregor is making progress in his recovery from a devastating leg injury sustained in his fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 246. Yesterday, McGregor shared an update from the gym to his Twitter account, demonstrating that he's still focused on maintaining his strength even while rehabilitating his injury.

In the clip, the former featherweight and lightweight double-champion positions his motorized wheelchair at the edge of a Technogym rack while wearing a belt connected to a weight plate. He then proceeds to stand up, putting most of his weight on his "good" leg, and knocks out an impressive set of eight pullups before turning to the camera for a celebratory flex.

"Where there's a will there's a way," he says, before returning to his chair. In a caption to the post he added, "Let nothing stop you!"

McGregor's injury has been the subject of much speculation over the past three weeks, with fans and doctors alike weighing in on everything from how the break actually occurred in the first place to how long the recovery process could take. (Orthopedic surgeon and ringside doctor David Abbasi recently guessed we could see McGregor fighting again in less than 12 months.)

If and when that happens, it's possible that McGregor's surgically-repaired leg could even give him a technical advantage in the octagon, one sports medicine physician posited.

In the meantime, McGregor is at least maintaining a good sense of humor about his plight, joking about his broken leg (which he's nicknamed "Big Foot") in a recent ad for his whiskey brand and hanging out in a poolside cabana with his buddy Justin Bieber—all while sipping on cocktails mixed with said whiskey.

It's probably not something one of those doctors would prescribe for a speedy recovery, but if there's one thing we know about "Notorious," it's that McGregor does everything his own way.
