Fresh off of a 2-2 comeback draw in Chicago, D.C. United are set to host the New York Red Bulls on Sunday.

The Black-and-Red put in a gutsy, midweek performance, clawing back from 2-0 down to rescue a point in the 87th minute. With 14 matches under his belt, Hernán Losada, 38, finds his squad ninth in the Eastern Conference standings, three points off of 7th-place New York City F.C. Between them is none other than Sunday's opponent.

Can D.C. United pick up a crucial result at Audi Field and climb up the table?

Here's everything you need to know about the match.

D.C. United vs. Red Bulls: WHAT TO WATCH

D.C. United struggled in possession on Wednesday night, giving the ball up in dangerous areas and calling on goalkeeper Bill Hamid to bail them out on numerous occasions. Hamid, who is in his 12th MLS season with the club, has provided a much-needed veteran presence in a young D.C. lineup.

With defender Donovan Pines and midfielder Paul Arriola away on Gold Cup duty, D.C. United are missing two regulars in their starting eleven. But absences mean opportunities for young talent to step up and make a name for themselves. Homegrown midfielder Kevin Paredes continued to do that on Wednesday, notching D.C.'s first goal.

Losada pointed to his team's never-say-die attitude as a positive takeaway from Wednesday's match. They'll need it again against a scrappy New York Red Bulls side that comes into this matchup after eeking out a draw of their own on the road against Toronto FC. This is the first matchup between the two teams this season, but as the table and recent results suggest, it should be an even one.

D.C. United vs. Red Bulls: PLAYERS TO WATCH

Ola Kamara, Forward, D.C. United (9 games, 6 goals, 2 assists): When D.C. United won a late penalty and an opportunity to steel a point off of the Fire on Wednesday, Ola Kamara stepped up to the penalty spot. That was no surprise given the 31-year-old forward has led the team in scoring. He'll look to add to his tally for the Black-and-Red on Sunday.

Caden Clark, Midfielder, New York Red Bulls (9 games, 4 goals, 2 assists): Red Bulls' 18-year-old star midfielder is months away from beginning the next chapter of his career in Germany with Bundesliga side Red Bull Leipzig. In the meantime, he is continuing to push himself during this MLS campaign. D.C. United cannot afford to be loose in possession with one of the league's most talented young midfielders looking to take his game to another level.
