How to watch Day 7 of the Jan. 6 hearings: TV schedule, livestream
After a two-week pause, the Jan. 6 committee is resuming its public hearings this week. At the last hearing, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson delivered bombshell testimony on the reaction of Donald Trump and his inner-circle as the Capitol attack began to unfold.
This week’s first hearing is slated for today. A list of witnesses has yet to appear on the House’s website, but the hearing will focus on “the efforts to assemble” the mob on Jan. 6, committee member Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., told Face The Nation. Schiff told the TV program the committee would revisit the participation of groups like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers, who were at the center of the first prime-time hearing in June.
Tuesday’s hearing also comes after news that former Trump adviser Steve Bannon, who was held in contempt of Congress for refusing a committee subpoena issued last fall, agreed to testify before the committee, USA TODAY reported. Bannon would be among the most prominent names yet to provide testimony.
