Watch Dr. Pimple Popper Pop A Cyst Filled With 'Macerated Keratin' That Looks Like White Gunk

From Women's Health

  • In her newest Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper clears a cyst by squeezing it.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper offers up some background info on cysts and who's likely to get them while she squeezes.

  • Dr. Pimple Popper says the cyst is filled with macerated keratin, or wet skin cells.

Dr. Pimple Popper has toyed with a few nickname updates throughout her videos. The newest name up for consideration? "Cyst whisperer." Catchy, huh?

While you know Dr. Pimple Popper can tackle more than just cysts (looking at you, milia and blackheads), in her latest video shared to her Instagram feed, she is indeed the cyst whisperer (she even captioned the post "It's the return of the Cyst Whisperer").

The video begins with Dr. Pimple Popper mid-squeeze. Ever the talented multitasker, she offers up a quick lesson on cysts while her fingers work on squeezing. All that white glop wiggling out of the opening is wet skin cells. “The technical term is macerated keratin,” she adds.

"I’m trying to squeeze out as much as I can," Dr. Pimple Popper says-which is really the goal for all of her extractions, right?

Dr. Pimple Popper also always makes sure to check in with her paients. "Are you okay?" she asks. "I'm just pinching, I'm sorry." Her patient seems to be doing just fine, so no apologies needed and back to popping.

"Let's see if this one will behave for us and come out nicely," she whispers while trimming away at the sac wall. If it doesn't behave, Dr. Pimple Popper might have to pull the cyst out piece by piece.

Dr. Pimple Popper doesn't seem too concerned about this cyst and continues her lesson. She explains: "I think people who are more prone for acne or have oily skin can be a little more prone to it. It happens in any hair-bearing area of the body."

The video cuts out while Dr. Pimple Popper is still working on the cyst removal. However, since she called herself the cyst whisperer, my bet is the cyst sac wall are both long gone.
