WATCH: Drone footage shows sharks surround huge manatee in Pinellas County

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — A drone operator captured a thrilling sight as several sharks were spotted swimming around a huge manatee in Pinellas County.

WATCH: Close encounter between massive alligator and bicyclist in Florida

John Yanchoris said he captured the “awesome” drone footage while flying over the Dunedin Causeway around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Yanchoris has a YouTube channel where he posts his drone videos.

In the description of his YouTube channel, Yanchoris said he’s a former firefighter who has done drone work for local fire departments, as well as anyone who needs aerial footage of their homes or special events.
