Matthew Cleveland, who is averaging a career-high 14.2 points scored per game, has scored in double figures in a career-best 17 consecutive games. ... FSU turned the ball over just eight times and had 17 assists in the win over the Cardinals. ... The Orange snapped a three-game losing streak with a 77-68 victory over Boston College on Saturday. Syracuse finished 21 for 24 from the charity stripe against Boston College and shot 51% from the field. ... Syracuse leads the all-time series 9-6 between the two programs, though FSU has won four of the last six games. ... The Orange won the last matchup 96-57 in the second round of the ACC tournament in Brooklyn, N.Y. last March. The teams split the season series, including a 63-60 win in Tallahassee for FSU. Caleb Mills led the team with 16 points in the ACC opener for both teams last season. Joseph Girad III had 16 points for the Orange. ... Syracuse is No. 98 in net rankings, while FSU is No. 208.

What FSU needs to do to win: The Seminoles were outscored 19-13 in bench points against the Cardinals. ... Jesse Edwards scored a career-high 27 points on 12-for-15 shooting for the Orange against the Eagles. He is averaging 14.0 points on 61% shooting on the season, to go along with 10.1 rebounds (3.0 offensive rebounds). ... Girard leads the team with 16.6 points per game, while Judah Mintz averages 15.4 points and 4.4 assists per game. ... The Seminoles will need to hit open 3-pointers against an Orange defense that plays a lot of zone defense.

ACC Standings Update: Clemson (10-3) continues to lead the ACC, while Virginia and Pittsburgh (9-3) are second. FSU (6-7) is tied for 10th in the conference, one game behind Syracuse and Wake Forest (7-6).
