Dateline: Dead Man Talking (9 p.m., NBC)

Andrea Canning has an exclusive interview with Nicholas Rossi, the American fugitive from Rhode Island whose real name is Nicholas Alahverdian and who claims to be an Englishman named Arthur Knight.

Rossi/Knight is accused of faking his own death to evade law enforcement. When found by investigators in Scotland, Rossi claimed to be an Englishman who had never even been to the United States. Authorities in the US are seeking Rossi’s extradition over allegations of rape and sexual assault in Utah.

Rossi failed to attend his extradition hearing at a court in Scotland this week after an altercation occurred on the premises.

Canning travels to Glasgow, Scotland, for this report. Interviews include: Arthur Knight/Nicholas Rossi, his wife Miranda Knight, and various law enforcement agents and journalists connected to the case.

A popular BBC podcast by Jane MacSorley called “I Am Not Nicholas” has chronicled the story.
