The Florida State softball team took a double-digit winning streak into this week's Atlantic Coast Conference tournament in Pittsburgh, having won 11 straight going into the regional tournament.

This stretch included wins over conference rival Clemson, in-state rival Florida and Big 12 powerhouse Oklahoma State.

The Seminoles (51-5 overall, 19-5 ACC) have the No. 3 seed in the tournament, earning a first-round bye. They topped No. 6 Virginia in a quarterfinal matchup Thursday and beat second-seeded Duke 8-6 on Friday to secure a date in the semifinal round with the Duke Blue Devils to advance to Saturday's championship game vs. No. 5 Clemson (39-14, 14-10). The Tigers got there by stunning top-seeded Virginia Tech.

Several FSU players earned individual honors this week, with third baseman Sydney Sherrill earning ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors for the third season in a row. She and seven of her Seminole teammates were also named to 2022 All-ACC Teams.
