Florida State basketball: John Butler staying in NBA Draft, won't return for sophomore season

The Florida State men's basketball team finished the regular season strong, ending conference play on a three-game winning streak to earn a first-round bye in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament.

FSU (17-13 overall, 10-10 in ACC play) defeated N.C. State 89-76 on Senior Day in Tallahassee in the regular season finale for both teams. The victory secured them the eighth seed and a first-round bye in the conference tournament in Brooklyn. They'll face Syracuse on Wednesday.

Jim Boeheim and the Orange are mainstays in March Madness, but they finished this season 15-16 (9-11). Buddy Boeheim, Jim's son, was a first-team All-ACC selection, and they hope to have guard Symir Torrence in time for the ACC Tournament.
