Furman basketball will make its first March Madness appearance in more than 40 years when it tips off against Virginia in Orlando on Thursday.
The 14th-seeded Paladins, who last appeared in the NCAA Tournament in 1980, are looking to upset the Cavaliers, who are seeded third in the South Region. The winner will face the winner of No. 5 seed San Diego State and 12-seed Charleston in the second round on Saturday.
