Watch Gordon Ramsay Take a Dozen of His Hottest Cars to the Track

From Car and Driver

  • British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay took what he says is all of his U.K.-based cars to Brands Hatch racetrack for a track day with family and friends. (That leads us to believe he has a lot more elsewhere.)

  • The video shows about a dozen cars, and we see him driving a McLaren Senna, Porsche 918 Spyder, and a Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta.

  • We sure hope we get an invite to Gordon's next track day.

Gordon Ramsay is known for being a celebrity chef who talks like a sailor, but little did we know, he also has an enviable car collection. A video of Gordon taking every single one of his cars to Brands Hatch circuit in the U.K. was just posted on his YouTube channel.

A yellow Ferrari F355 seems to be the oldest car Gordon took to his track day, and the newest and first one he has a go in is the record holder of our annual Lightning Lap test: the McLaren Senna. "It's like driving the fastest roller coaster you’ve ever been on," he says about the Senna. And we know what he’s talking about. At Virginia International Raceway's Turn 1 in our testing, the Senna hit 1.23 g's, which ties with the Porsche 911 GT3 RS for the highest lateral acceleration C/D has ever seen at Lightning Lap.

The second car we see him drive is a blue 918 Spyder. When giving the rundown of specs on the 918 in the video, Gordon says that it hits 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Sorry, Gordon, but when we tested the hybrid Porsche in 2014, we launched to 60 in 2.2 seconds. The last car we see the British celebrity chef drive is one of only 200 LaFerrari Aperta supercars made—and it looks like he doesn't just have one LaFerrari but two.

So now it's out that the superchef has a vast supercar collection, and we’re super jealous.
