Ja Morant is no stranger to highlights against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Who can forget last season's "Ja-breaker" in last season's playoffs?

Morant added another high-flying dunk in the Grizzlies' 128-107 win over the Timberwolves on Friday. On a Memphis Grizzlies fast break in the third quarter, Morant leaped to catch a pass from John Konchar and soared in for a two-handed dunk that woke up the crowd at FedExForum.

Even Morant knew that dunk had a bit extra on it as he yelled a bit longer while the Timberwolves called timeout. Brandon Clarke ran on the court with his arms out like an airplane to mimic Morant being in flight.

Morant said postgame that he saw Anthony Edwards swipe by him in an attempt to block the dunk. He wasn't worried about Edwards blocking him but was more concerned about the angle Edwards took flying by him in mid-air.

"I didn't know if there was going to be contact and I would get clipped. So I tried to dunk it quick," Morant said. "If he wasn't there, I probably would've dunked it and hung on the rim or something. Put my feet on the backboard, do the little spider trick."

Maybe it wasn't the epic dunk from 10 months ago, but it was a surefire highlight that ignited FedExForum and gave Morant another play for his 2022-23 highlight reel. It also will give Morant and Edwards something to talk about at next week's All-Star Game after Edwards was named an injury replacement by the league and Morant was named a starter for the second consecutive season.
