Do raccoons run on Dunkin’, too?
Well, this one does.
Early last month, a TikTok video from a customer showed the critter walking up to a drive-thru lane at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Orange City, Florida, and getting a free treat.
Samantha Jane Guptil’s May 7 video, which has racked up more than 22 million views, starts out with her seeing a raccoon appear in the lane in front of her car.
“What in the world?” she says off camera as a man with her chuckles. “My dude. He wants some Dunkin’ Donuts.”
As the car approaches, the raccoon stands its ground, cutting the line.
“Don’t hit him! Don’t hit him!” Guptil says.
A worker at the window grabs a doughnut and stares at the raccoon, which is perched patiently on the ground, awaiting a snack.
The worker leans down with a gloved hand and proffers a white glazed doughnut to the raccoon, which reaches up with little black paws and politely takes it.
It then runs off into the bushes as Guptil and the guy laugh hysterically.
“Dude should know you can’t walk up to the drive thru,” reads the text over screen.
Commenters were loving the adorable exchange, and many thought the raccoon with the good manners was a repeat customer.
“The way the worker just casually gave it to the raccoon, you know they’ve been doing that for awhile.”
“He’s definitely a regular, lmao.”
“I love that the raccoon took it out her hand normally,” another joked. “If I tried to give a doughnut to my dog I swear she would take my hand off.”
“She could have thrown it but she handed it to him like the little gentleman he is.”
