Watch highlights of Jalen Ramsey playing DB and WR in high school

Jalen Ramsey has become the best cornerback in the NFL, taking his game to another level since joining the Rams in 2019 after a blockbuster trade. This season, he’s been lining up all over the defense, showcasing his versatility as a true defensive back, not just a corner.

He showed that position flexibility at Florida State when he played safety and cornerback, but his versatility goes all the way back to his high school days. Ramsey shared a post from WhosNextHS on Instagram of his playmaking ability from Brentwood Academy when his school faced Ensworth School, a game that was broadcast on ESPN.

You can see Ramsey make a spectacular play over the top for an interception, and then line up at wide receiver and turn a screen pass into a huge gain.

Here was Ramsey’s post on his Instagram story, saying “this is comedy to me now lol.” It was easy to see his talent back then and he likely would’ve succeeded no matter what position he pursued in college and the NFL.

But he sure seems to have picked the right spot in the secondary.
