How to watch and follow Iowa, Iowa State and UNI wrestling at the 2023 NCAA Championships

Welcome to the greatest week on the wrestling calendar.

The 2023 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships are set for this week at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla. Action begins Thursday morning and runs through Saturday night, where 10 individuals will be crowned national champions.

The Iowa, Iowa State and Northern Iowa wrestling programs, as well as other Iowa natives, will all compete alongside college wrestling's top teams and competitors at this three-day, six-session wrestling extravaganza. The Hawkeyes took all 10 starters to Tulsa, while the Cyclones qualified eight and the Panthers will take seven.

Here’s how you can watch and follow the action:

Thursday, March 16

  • Session 1: First round — 11 a.m., CT

  • Session 2: Second round, wrestlebacks — 6 p.m., CT

Friday, March 17

  • Session 3: Quarterfinals, wrestlebacks — 11 a.m., CT

  • Session 4: Semifinals, bloodround — 7 p.m., CT

Saturday, March 18

  • Session 5: Wrestleback semifinals, medal matches — 10 a.m., CT

  • Session 6: Championship finals — 6 p.m., CT

How to watch and follow the NCAA wrestling tournament on TV and online

The NCAA Championships have aired on ESPN every year since 1980, a tradition that will continue this week.

Here's a simple way to remember:

  • Each morning session — Sessions 1, 3, 5 — will air on ESPNU.

  • Each evening session — Sessions 2, 4, 6 — will air on ESPN.

800 AM KXIC is the home for all Iowa wrestling broadcasts, and can be streamed on iHeart Radio, either online or through the mobile app. Their stream can also be found on the Hawkeye Sports website. Steven Grace and Mark Ironside will be on the call from the BOK Center.
