Watch Ja Morant's standing ovation in return to Memphis Grizzlies bench
Ja Morant didn't walk out with his Memphis Grizzlies teammates before Monday's game during warmups. The two-time All-Star point guard came through the tunnel in the final minutes before tipoff against the Dallas Mavericks and joined his teammates.
The FedExForum crowd clapped and cheered when it noticed Morant. The cheers gradually got louder as Morant became more and more visible.
Morant did the "griddy" dance with Tyus Jones and shook hands with the rest of the starters. He didn't do his warmup routine before the game.
Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins said the Grizzlies are "hopeful" that Morant can return Wednesday after getting his first full team practice on Tuesday.
