The Jacksonville Jaguars received a rude awakening coming off their first win of the season. Things don't get any easier this week as the Jags host the Buffalo Bills, a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
The Jaguars (1-6) got trounced coming off their bye last week at the Seattle Seahawks, losing 31-7 in a game that harkened back to their Week 1 shellacking to the Houston Texans. Coach Urban Meyer, who got credit for the end-of-game scenario that led to their win vs. the Miami Dolphins, looked completely outmatched again. Trevor Lawrence, who had been showing progress before the bye week, threw for just 238 yards on 54 attempts. Running back James Robinson also missed most of the game with a foot injury.
The Bills (5-2) were sluggish last week but beat the Dolphins 26-11. Quarterback Josh Allen — not to be confused with Jags linebacker Josh Allen — had an off day for him, but he still threw for 249 yards and two TDs while rushing for 55 yards and another score. Jacksonville's defense will have their hands full with the Bills' receiving trio of Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders.
