Watch: Jamal Agnew returns missed field goal for 109 yards, ties NFL record vs. Cardinals

Since joining the Jacksonville Jaguars, coach Urban Meyer has made it known how important special teams is. In free-agency, they invested in multiple players who could help them in that category, including receiver and returner Jamal Agnew.

Last week the veteran returned a kickoff for a touchdown, then this week, he help the Jags get six more on the board after taking a missed 68-yard field goal attempt by Matt Prater to the house for 109 yards. With the Jags scoring a touchdown on the previous drive, they then went into halftime (two seconds were left during the kick) with a 13-7 lead.

The Jags came into Sunday’s game as 6.5-point underdogs as the Cardinals’ offense was red-hot and ranked third in the league. That said, with some help from their defense and special teams, they’ve been able to stick with Arizona early in this one.
