Watch: Johnny Bench introduced as first-base coach for Savannah Bananas
The Savannah Bananas - the self-proclaimed "World Famous Baseball Circus" - visited Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach, Florida, and had a very special guest coaching first base during their game against the Party Animals - none other than Hall of Famer and former Cincinnati Reds and Big Red Machine great Johnny Bench.
A tweet Sunday from the announcer for the collegiate summer baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia, with video of Bench being introduced:
TFW the intro is so big and so good that even @johnnybench_5 starts struttin' and cuttin' like @ricflairnatureboy
Seriously: how cool is it that I got to introduce this @reds @mlb legend with @thesavbananas?
It def has me hyped to watch the next Reds come thru @daytonatortugas pic.twitter.com/yAYFMdVedR— 🎙️ The Young Professor 🎙️ (@YoungProfessorG) April 3, 2022
From @TheSavBananas via Twitter:
Johnny Bench takes over as the first base coach for the Nanners and Dakota McFadden immediately rakes one to left field. Coincidence? We think not.

In December - on his 74th birthday - Bench shared video of his tour of Cincinnati from the 1980s.
