Turns out, pumping iron is a key part of the SI Swimsuit model’s workout routine.

Another day, another workout with Kate Upton.

In his latest Instagram post, Upton's trainer, Ben Bruno, shared a video of the model crushing it with heavy deadlifts. The post was accompanied by a sweet caption about how far the three-time SI Swimsuit cover model has come in the gym.

Kate Upton attends Canada Goose and Vogue host Cocktails and Conversation about impact climate change has on the future of polar bears event at Smogshoppe on February 12, 2020 in Los Angeles, California. <p><a href="https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/1200517322" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank" data-ylk="slk:JB Lacroix/Getty Images;elm:context_link;itc:0;sec:content-canvas" class="link ">JB Lacroix/Getty Images</a></p>

"She used to be very apprehensive to lift heavy weights, but now she's the one asking me to bump the weight up," Bruno wrote. "Strength training does wonders for the body, and the mind. I love to see the transformation."

Almost 15 thousand fans who liked the video are proud of Kate for pushing herself, too. Bruno asked Upton to add more reps in the middle of a set and she was not having it! "A deal's a deal," she said with a smile, putting down the bar after her originally promised five reps.

"Strength training does the body (and mind) good," Bruno wrote in text overlaying the video. "The trap bar deadlift is a great exercise to work your legs and butt without putting undue stress on your lower back."

Upton was practicing her trap bar deadlifts as well as a variation – the staggered stance trap bar deadlift – meant to strengthen one leg at a time. She did it all while wearing a skirt, which just like a fan commented, makes her a "certified bada-s."

Upton has shared bits of her fitness routine with fans for years and advocates for investing in the effort to look and feel your best.
