Sure, Kansas City will be represented at the Super Bowl by those guys on the field. But in between plays, a few celebrities with Kansas City ties will show up in this year’s crop of Super Bowl commercials.

Big Slick hosts Jason Sudeikis and Heidi Gardner both star in ads for big-name companies.

(Will we see any of the zillions of commercials Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Andy Reid have made? Maybe the quarterback shampooing the coach’s hair?)

Donna Kelce, mother of Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, has already appeared in a pre-Super Bowl commercial as “Chief Leftover Officer” for Ziploc bags.

She’s part of the company’s campaign against food waste, encouraging Super Bowl partygoers to use the bags for leftovers instead of throwing food away. (Reusable containers work, too.)

Kylie Kelce, Travis’ sister-in-law and as-of-late an adopted friend of Chiefs Kingdom, has also had a sweet Super Bowl ad moment.

Here’s a quick look at KC connections to Super Bowl commercials this year.

Jason Sudeikis, Michelob Ultra

“Ted Lasso” star Sudeikis, who grew up in Overland Park, pops up in soccer legend Lionel Messi’s first Super Bowl commercial, this one for Michelob Ultra.

“After moving to MLS last summer, Messi is making his Super Bowl debut as part of his extended welcome tour in the United States, with Michelob taking advantage of the ‘football meets football’ connection in its commercial,” writes ESPN’s Adam Snavely.

Most of the commercial shows Messi kicking a ball down a beach. He seems pretty good at it. Watching, Sudeikis comments to someone standing close by: “We go way back.”

Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Marino shows up briefly to throw a soccer ball like a football.,

Perhaps for the best, Snavely notes, Sudeikis is “the only one that keeps his athletic ability to himself.”

Heidi Gardner, Homes.com

The Kansas City native and “Saturday Night Live” cast member is featured in the biggest real estate marketing campaign ever, according to Homes.com, which made the commercial.

The real estate website already aired a teaser with Gardner and “Schitt’s Creek” star Dan Levy. It reportedly has four spots running during the game Sunday.

“Celebrity superstars like Dan Levy, Heidi Gardner and a few other special guests are spreading the word for you,” one teaser clip promised.

Expect to see Gardner in more Homes.com commercials during the Oscars, March Madness, the Summer Olympics and other major sporting events this year.

Kylie Kelce, Lindor chocolates

A few days ago Kelce shared the commercial she made for Swiss chocolatier Lindt, which debuts its first Super Bowl commercial in the first quarter.

“LINDOR chocolate truffles bring the premium sweet indulgence that will balance out your salty snacks … and even your salty guests,” Kelce wrote on her Instagram. “Thanks for hooking me up for the Big Game, @lindt_usa!”

“That chocolate is so good, but it isn’t even the most delicious thing in this photo,” her husband, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, wrote on his wife’s post.

She isn’t in the company’s 30-second, “Life Is a Ball” commercial for Sunday. But she is a big fan of dark chocolate.

“If we were doing the big game day at home, I would be absolutely knee-deep in the bowl of Lindor truffles, but I will say they are out on our counter right now,” Kylie recently told People

“I already dove into them this morning, so I will get my fill on Sunday, even if I am not at home to enjoy them in our living room.”

Bet we know where she’ll be on Sunday.
