Saturday marks only the second meeting between the Wildcats and Bulldogs. Kentucky won the previous matchup, 79-58, at Memorial Coliseum on Dec. 27, 1961.

Three Kentucky players scored in double-figures that day, led by Larry Pursiful's 25. Cotton Nash and Carroll Burchett had 16 apiece. Nash also pulled down 16 rebounds for a double-double. Teammate Roy Roberts was one behind, grabbing 15 rebounds of his own in the 21-point win in Lexington.
