Kesha, in her finest Gram Parsons-inspired nudie suit emblazoned with sequined broken hearts, rainbows and roses, sang a heartfelt cover of "It Ain't Me Babe" at the Billboard Music Awards.

After a rocky road to the awards ceremony, Kesha's stripped down Bob Dylan tribute somehow became the most controversial performance of the night.

Her performance was cancelled after Dr. Luke's Kemosabe Records rescinded their permission for her to perform following rumors that Kesha would use the performance as a statement against him. After Kesha clarified she would just be covering Bob Dylan as a tribute to the legend, who celebrates his 75th birthday on Tuesday, Kesha was given permission to sing at the ceremony again.

Kesha was accompanied by Ben Folds, who performed the song with her this past week as part of the encore of his recent Los Angeles concert.

When the song was over, she simply clasped her hands and bowed her head as a silent thank you to her supporters.
