J.D. Martinez notched a homer of his own -- his 21st of the campaign -- in the second inning to put Boston on the board.
Hernandez's two-run shot marked his 15th homer of the year. For the rookie Duran, it was his second since being promoted to the majors on July 15.
The Red Sox held on for a 4-1 win to snap a five-game losing streak.
